Character background - Russian immigrants to (place name) , Pete’s parents died when he was young, leading him to spend a lot of time with his cousins, who were into biker culture - Drugs, guns, women, you name it. at first he was mocked, because they all spoke with an american accent. Pete still had a hint of his mothers tongue on him. Determined, Pete joined the hells angels as soon as possible, after a grueling time as a pledge. Finally, he felt like he had everything he wanted. Unlike his other companions, he didn’t cheat on his wife. He didn’t binge to excesses. He stayed focused. The highlight of what he did, with the angels, was when he and the brothers stopped the westboro baptist church from picketing a funeral. No guns, just heart. That all changed, when pete succumbed to his pride. Thinking he was more than a man, more than he was. He loved the way people would stare at his biker colours walking down a street, or riding around town. He thrived for the crowd. At home he became distant. And it caught up with him. He was returning home, from a long journey across the state to secure a shipment of guns, when he noticed the mexican gardeners car outside. Odd, thought pete, The gardener isn’t due in on a thursday... Pete assumed the worst. Busting open the trunk of the gardeners car, he took out the chainsaw inside. Hell, the gardener clearly wasn’t working on the front lawn, and the back yard had been fine for years. His suspicions were confirmed immediately, as heading up the path he heard the sounds of their passion. Grim determination set his face. Revving up the chainsaw, pete kicked open the front door. He almost heard the pleas they made as he dismembered them. He almost made a sound...but inside he was just numb. The police found him sitting there, clutching the chainsaw to his chest, surrounded by their blood. He didn’t plead innocence, or even protest. he merely stated “i was good to her... Jessica...why?” The case was cut and dry in court. A bike gang member, 19, criminal record, forget it. Lock him up. Throw away the key. 25 to life.
In prison, pete knuckled down. He joined the boxing team. he turned the event over again and again in his head... He was a rational man. He had a temper, but he prided himself on not losing his cool. Why had he flown off the handle like that? He counted down the days. A few of the angels visited him in prison, and he soon got a reputation. His tattoos also helped. Nobody messed with pete. When a guard leaked what he’d been imprisoned for, the inmates started calling him Chainsaw pete. It stuck. The angels were supportive. Hell a few even said they understood. Just stupid not to clean up after himself. Pete did his time, and 16 years later was released on parole. 35 years old, nothing but his bike, and the small garage he owned to his name. Luckily they missed the safe in the garage. Cash, and a gun. Pete slept in the garage that night, resolving to rent somewhere as soon as he could.
